Check Readers – MICR

Check Readers are for reading in the Magnetic Ink on the bottom of cheques. The bank information is then

verified against a database of fraudulent checking accounts. This service does not process, debit or ensure

sufficient balance from the bank account; it only verifies that this account does not have a history of writing

bad checks. Check Guarantee is a service that can be used to cover the check loss should the check not

clear. This service is currently only supported by Mercury Payments Inc.
